Dr. med. Claudius Gall, Bac. phil. MBA

Specialist in neurosurgery
with the additional designation Special Pain Therapy

For over 25 years I have been treating people with pain. After my medical studies in Munich and Melbourne, my doctoral thesis already dealt with specific forms of pain. During my specialist training at the Großhadern Clinic and my later work as a senior physician of neurosurgery in Regensburg, the topic of back pain became increasingly central to my interest. Today I am one of the few specialists in Germany who hold both the specialist title of neurosurgery and the additional title of Special Pain Therapy.

As a cross-border practitioner of neurosurgical and pain management medicine, I am looking forward to their visit.

Over the years, with increasing operational experience, skepticism towards scalpel surgery grew. In too many patients, the desired pain reduction and improvement in quality of life could not be achieved. A study of philosophy from 2007 to 2010 was also an attempt to find answers to my patients’ questions outside of conventional medicine and to make a change in perspective.

The result of all these efforts is the Munich Back Pain Model. It has since formed the basis of my medical practice. Until October 2018, as a co-founder and head of the Back Pain Center in the Algesiology Clinic. During this time, I also obtained the additional title of Special Pain Therapy through the Bavarian Medical Chamber. Since April 2019, my team and I have provided a competent and friendly point of contact for all pain patients in the new premises of the Pain Workshop Munich.
