What we do in the Pain Workshop is not an easy task. Nevertheless, on our website we try to explain things in a way that makes them easy to understand for as many people as possible who suffer from pain.
In addition to images and videos, of course, language is also used.
We experience daily that language has the power to exclude and include, to bind and to free.
This is particularly true for professional and official languages, in science and not least in medicine.
With the texts on this website, we have struck a balance. On the one hand, we want to be clearly understandable, but on the other hand, we also want to be faithful to the medical science through linguistic precision.
Please let us know if we succeeded in doing so.
Texts and gender-sensitive language
Of course, we cater to patients of all genders on our site.
When we use the word „patient“ or „patients“ in our texts, it is only done for reasons of simplification and better readability.
It seems to us too cumbersome to always have to write and, above all, read the correct „patients“.
