My path into medicine began during my military service as a paramedic and later as a rescue assistant. These formative experiences in the emergency services – from emergency rescue to intensive transport and air rescue – have had a lasting impact on my interest in medicine and motivated me to study human medicine.
After my studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, I began my medical career in internal medicine. Soon afterwards, I moved to anesthesiology and completed my specialist training at the Neuperlach, Harlaching, and Bogenhausen locations of the Munich Clinic, including five years of intensive care medicine.
Even during this time, I developed a special interest in pain therapy – particularly in the treatment of postoperative pain and in the interdisciplinary care of chronic pain patients. To deepen my expertise, I completed advanced training in specialized pain therapy at the Pain Day Clinic of the Munich Clinic Neuperlach and Harlaching.
After working in a pain medicine clinic, I found my professional home in July 2025 at the Schmerzwerkstatt München. Here, I support people with chronic pain on their journey towards a better quality of life – in a trustworthy, empathetic, and holistic way.
It is important to me to approach patients on an equal footing – as a medical companion, advisor, and catalyst. Chronic pain is complex and individual, which is why I rely on a multimodal and interdisciplinary therapeutic approach to find individual ways to break out of the pain spiral together. The goal is not only reducing pain but, above all, achieving a lasting improvement in quality of life.
