Workshops on radiofrequency therapy (11 CME points each via BLÄK)

When conservative methods reach their limits, thermal denervation, in the context of radiofrequency therapy, can provide sustainable pain relief in appropriate cases. This minimally invasive method precisely interrupts the pain pathway to the brain. In principle, it is assumed that the successful basis of therapy for any chronic pain condition requires a bio-psycho-social disease model. Successful pain reduction is the product of a logical treatment mosaic in which different, mutually reinforcing treatment strategies are applied at different points in the treatment pathway. Radiofrequency therapy represents a possible treatment component and is by its nature a symptomatic therapeutic approach.

This procedure, in addition to the correct selection of patients, involves carrying out the procedure in accordance with the necessary quality standards. As a European Training Center for Radiofrequency®, the Schmerzwerkstatt München offers a defined curriculum for the proper implementation of these procedures as part of workshops.

The following core competencies are taught:

The next Radio Frequency Workshop will take place on

Questioning. Understanding. Acting.

With our training activities, we follow our motto: it is about questioning previous disease hypotheses, re-evaluating and understanding pain based on a bio-psycho-social model, and about being able to develop and implement an evidence-based therapeutic concept together with the affected person.
